Widgets
Widgets are visual components that you add to pages in the design editor. Some widgets belong to a specific plugin and display data from it, while others are standalone and can be used independently of enabled plugins.
Base
Core widgets available in every applet, regardless of which plugins are enabled.

| Text | Adds formatted text to a page — headings, paragraphs, and inline formatting |
| Link | Clickable link to an applet, page, or external URL — as a button, card, or article |
| Menu | Displays a menu as a list or toolbar — uses menus created in the applet |
| Notifications | Displays the app's notifications for the signed-in user |
| Search | Adds a search field for pages, applets, or free-text search |
| User | Displays the avatar, name, and subtitle of the signed-in user |
| User Profile | Button that leads to the profile or to sign-in |
Forms
Widgets that display data from forms. Requires the Forms plugin to be enabled in the applet.

| Metric | Displays a single key figure from a form — count of responses or sum of a numeric field |
| Tab Layout | Displays form responses as tabs of lists — users can search, create, edit, and delete directly from the widget |
| Chart | Displays form data visually — as bars, columns, lines, pies, donuts, heatmaps, or tables |
| Calendar | Displays form responses as events in a calendar — in day, week, or month view |
| Form Response | Shows a form directly on a page so users can submit a response without leaving the page |
Quiz
Widget that shows a quiz from the Quiz plugin. Requires the Quiz plugin to be enabled in the applet.

Newsfeed
Widget that shows a newsfeed from the Newsfeed plugin. Requires the Newsfeed plugin to be enabled in the applet.

Chat
Widget that shows a chat from the Chat plugin. Requires the Chat plugin to be enabled in the applet.

Media
Widgets that display images, audio, and video from the file archive or external sources. Requires the Files plugin to be enabled in the applet.

| Gallery | Shows multiple images as a gallery or carousel, with autoplay and tag-based filtering |
| Sound | Plays an audio file from the file archive or a URL |
| Video | Plays video from the file archive, a URL, or as an embedded iframe (YouTube/Vimeo) |
Files
Widget that gives users access to the file archive. Requires the Files plugin to be enabled in the applet.

Add a widget
- Open the Design editor for your applet.
- Select the page where the widget should be placed.
- Add the widget to the page.
- Configure the widget settings.
TIP
If a widget pulls data from a plugin, that plugin must be enabled in the applet's Plugin Settings.
